Florida Real Estate Pre-Licensing Courses
To get a Florida real estate license, you must complete a state-approved pre-licensing course and pass the state exam. The Real Estate Academy offers both pre-licensing courses online and in the classroom in Miami.
Sales Associate Pre-Licensing (63 Hours)
The 63-hour course covers Florida Real Estate Principles, Practices & Law. It is the state-required first step toward a Florida sales associate license.
Broker Pre-Licensing (72 Hours)
The 72-hour course fulfills the Florida Real Estate Commission (FREC) pre-licensing education requirement for qualified sales associates who want to become licensed brokers.

Who Can Get a Sales Associate License?
To be eligible for a Florida real estate sales associate license, you must:
- be at least 18 years old
- have a high school diploma or its equivalent
- have your state application approved (the state application fee is $105)
- complete a state-approved 63-hour course and pass the state exam
You do not need to be a Florida resident. Your fingerprints must be submitted electronically before your application can be approved.
